My name is Coach Jawan King, most people know me as Coach King. I’m the Varsity Offensive Line Coach at Suitland High School in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and I take a lot of pride in developing guys in the trenches.

For me, it’s always been about physicality, discipline, and doing things the right way. I coach offensive line with a strong focus on fundamentals—footwork, leverage, hand placement, and understanding the game at a high level. I want my players to not just play fast, but think fast and play with confidence.

Off the field, I work as a Security Assistant with Prince George’s County Public Schools, so I’m around students every day. That helps me build real relationships with my players and hold them accountable beyond football. I’m big on structure, respect, and growth—on and off the field.

Coaching to me is bigger than just football. It’s about building young men, setting a standard, and creating a culture where everybody is bought in and pushing each other. That’s what I stand on.
